I am a teacher. Some of my pupils have forgotten their password. What can I do ?

You can reset your pupils’ passwords (and their parents’) in the Class settings app. To do so, select the pupil(s) in question and click “Reset password”. The links you need to finish resetting the password(s) will be sent to the email address in your personal space. So make sure you have entered your email address under “My account“!

I have forgotten my password. How can I get it back ?

If you can’t remember your password, just click “Forgotten your password?” on the ONE login page. Enter your username. You will be sent an email with a link to reset your account. If you haven’t entered your email address in the My account section, contact the class teacher to get a new password.

A pupil has left the school. Can I delete his account ?

You can disable the account of a parent or a pupil under Class settings (available only to teachers): select the pupil’s account from the list and click Block. The user will no longer be able to log in to ONE but his account has not been deleted. You may choose to reactivate it by unblocking it. For now, a user account can not be permanently deleted from the platform.

I have received my username and an activation code. How do I log in to ONE for the first time ?

To activate your account, enter the ONE URL address that you have been given in a web browser, then click on “Activate my account” from the login window.

A new pupil has arrived at our school. How do I give him access to ONE ?

To create a new account in ONE, go to the Class settings app (available only to teachers). In this module you can:

  • create an account manually for a pupil or a parent,
  • import several accounts with a CSV file.

Once the accounts are created, you can export the usernames and passwords, distribute them to the new users and show them the procedure for activating their ONE account.

Blog

How do I create a draft post ?

Once you have entered the content for a post, you have two options:

  • click Save : the post is saved as a draft. It can be seen only by you and can be edited later before being published / deleted;
  • click Publish : the post is published and can be seen by users with access permissions to the blog.

I would like to choose moderation options for my blog. Is it possible ?

The blog offers a moderation feature for publishing posts:

  • you can either choose for posts by authorised contributors to be validated immediately,
  • or choose for posts to be moderated before publication (no post will be able to be published without your authorisation).

To choose how posts will be published, click “Edit blog” once the blog is created and select the option you want to enable.

Is it possible to add multimedia content to the blog ?

You can insert an audio or video file into a blog post by clicking on the corresponding icon on the post’s toolbar.

I have created a blog. No one can see the posts I have published. Why ?

Once you have set up the blog, to make the content accessible to other people you have to share it by clicking “Edit blog” then “Share“. Then select the users who will have access to the blog, and indicate the permissions you want them to have.

I can't see or open my draft posts on the blog. What can I do ?

The blog is able to filter which posts are displayed. To display posts that are still in draft form, tick the corresponding box from the filters available at the top of the screen. Once the post opens, click Publish if you would like it to be visible on your blog.

Class settings

I have noticed mistakes in the personal details of a parent/pupil. Can I edit this information ?

With the Class settings app, the teacher can edit parents’ and pupils’ information by clicking on their user form. Some fields cannot be edited:

  • It is not possible to edit a username,
  • If the user has never logged in to ONE, only administrative information can be edited.

I am a teacher and I can't find the usernames and activation codes for my class. Where can I export them from ?

In the Class settings module, you can export all the pupil and parent accounts in your class. That way you retrieve the file with the users’ usernames and passwords. Only the activation codes of users who have never logged in to ONE will appear in the file.

How do I change my class's name ?

The teacher can change the name of the class in the Class settings app (general class settings).

Filespace

I am having trouble uploading a file into the filespace. What do I do ?

The files you want to add to the filespace must not exceed 50 MB. The time it takes to upload will also depend on your internet connection. You may have to wait a few minutes for the upload to be successfully completed. If it still doesn’t work after you have checked these two parameters, please contact us.

Is there a storage limit for documents in the filespace ?

The storage quotas in the filespace depend on the user’s profile and the type of ONE subscription. For all users, a storage space toolbar is displayed in the Filespace app which indicates the volume allocated to each user.

What's new ?

I get too many notifications in the news feed. Can I limit the information displayed ?

On the What’s new? page, you can select the information to be displayed by ticking the boxes of the apps you want notifications from. For example, if you untick the Users box, you will stop receiving notifications when a user’s status has been updated (the motto for instance).

Multimedia notebook

What types of file can I add to a multimedia notebook ?

You can include images, audio and video files in your multimedia notebooks. For images and audio files, accepted formats depend on the browser but the most common are supported (JPEG, PNG, GIF and BMP for images, and MP3, M4A and OGG for audio files). To embed a video in a multimedia notebook, it must first be saved on a video storage platform.

My pupils can't watch the video included in a multimedia notebook. What should I do ?

The videos hosted on Youtube and Vimeo will show up properly in your multimedia notebook regardless of the browser used. For other hosting platforms however, the display will depend on which browser is being used, and some problems with video displays may occur.

My notebook is not displayed properly when I save it as a PDF. What can I do ?

When you click the Print button and export a multimedia notebook in PDF format, you may find that the page outline of the notebook is not displayed. This is due to the PDF viewer display options. If you are using the Chrome browser, click the background colours and images box in the left-hand column of the browser. If you are using Firefox, click File, then Page Setup and tick the Print Background box (colours & images).
